After finding myself in need of a “rescue plan” for my health and fitness I reached out to Kendra. She had been consistently posting about a program she was doing, calling it a lifestyle and that interested me. The combination of a delicious shake, color-coded containers and a nutrition plan and daily encouragement and accountability was a winning one. For the first time in my life, I learned to eat properly. I learned that I was way over in carbs and way under in protein, among other things. Even though I was previously working out five days a week, I was not seeing any results because of what I was eating. I learned through this program that I could not out work a bad diet. I loved to find out that I could have one “cheat meal” a week so I wouldn’t be deprived, and this was something that I could sustain and create a healthy lifestyle from. I struggled with digestive problems and Irritable Bowel Syndrome for most of my life. I used to take prescription medication every day to deal with the discomfort. When I added Shakeology to my diet, it introduced enzymes and pro-biotics to my daily intake. I’m amazed to say that Shakeology and cleaner eating has solved my life-long struggle with irregular digestion!

I can’t even tell you what an incredible relief this is on a daily basis. What a relief to finally have regular digestion as part of my overall health. Additionally, I have more energy, stronger and healthier hair and nails, clear skin and I feel great! I successfully completed 60 days of the “Insanity” workouts in my living room, I drank Shakeolgy every day, and I followed the portion control nutrition plan. I also enjoyed the added bonus of a free Accountability/Challenge Group that was hugely helpful in encouraging me every day of the journey. After three months I was shocked to find that I lost 16 pounds and many inches (including my muffin top)! I fit back into all of my jeans comfortably, I didn’t have to unbutton my jeans every time I sat down at the dinner table or in the car, and I gained great abs and definition! Overall, I felt confident and comfortable in my own skin! I had done parts of P90X in the past and my husband and I had done Insanity. In the meantime I was mostly a runner with some obstacle races thrown in for good measure. But slowly I started developing less and less tolerance for the cold and ultimately ended up with a Raynaud’s ulcer on my finger - similar to the start of frostbite (due to an underlying autoimmune disorder that was finally discovered in this season). I was totally unable to exercise and I was in a ton of pain (says a woman who can endure a lot - the bar exam, a twin pregnancy, a 50K race). It was physically and emotionally challenging and I ended up in the ER for IV antibiotics. When I finally recovered, I was a couple months out of shape and overwhelmed with starting over - especially when running at 5:30 am with girlfriends was no longer an option.

So I turned to my friend Kendra and asked for help. I needed a do-over. 21 Day Fix, a cardio and strength training program, was popular and I knew that it was a good foundation. I also liked that it was a 3 week program. I could get my head around 3 weeks then decide from there what I would do next. It was and is an amazing program. Next, I did T25 and got into the best shape of my life at 45 years old. With cleaned up nutrition, daily Shakeology, meal planning and the accountability and support of my coach and dear friend Kendra, over the last couple of years I have tried almost every fitness program Beachbody has released and maintained my weight and fitness. I’m finally off the weight gain/loss roller coaster and I’ve eliminated the word diet from my vocabulary.

Since I’ve started working with Kendra, trying different programs, my life has completely changed! I’ve lost weight, toned my muscles, and feel healthier than I have in years. Many people tell me “you don’t look 56!” I feel better than I did when I was in my 20’s!  - Trish H.

I was not overweight growing up. In fact, my first job as a teenager was modeling for a local department store. It wasn’t until after I got married and started having children that I began to gain weight. With each of my four children, the weight came on and it became harder and harder to get my body back in shape. I was a stay at home mom and spent my days focused on my children and running our home. We moved many times over the years, and I found myself constantly eating, mainly due to stress and just not focusing on taking care of myself. I bought all the diet books, tried all the diet programs, and gained and lost lots of pounds over the years. I was really beginning to think nothing was ever going to help me. And then I saw an infomercial on TV for the 21 Day Fix Program. I liked the whole concept of the program and the containers, and decided to just go for it.

I started losing weight and feeling good about myself, and eventually decided to take it a step further and try Shakeology. When I ordered my Shakeology, I was randomly assigned Kendra as my coach and I truly believe it was fate that we met. Since I’ve started working with Kendra and trying different programs, my life has completely changed! I’ve lost weight, toned my muscles, and feel healthier than I have in years. I’ve gone back to school, I’m happier and healthier, and I’m at the point in my life where it’s no longer just about the numbers on the scale. It’s about being and becoming your best self, and enjoying the journey along the way.
